Our ethos is as simple as 1-2-3:
- Nurturing a strong community of people committed to raising performance
- Peer learning through the sharing of good practice and materials that facilitate review and improvement
- Recognition of both achievement and commitment to the community
These three elements and the interplay between them is shown below:

Mentoring Scheme
London Excellence's prime role is to add value to a community of organisations that are striving to raise their performance.
We add value by:
- growing membership of the community across all sectors
- facilitating sharing and learning between members
- providing recognition for their achievements
We connect people and the facilitation of a mentoring scheme is entirely aligned with this purpose.
We are therefore piloting a scheme whereby we can help you to
- find a mentor who can support and challenge you
and/or
- develop and practice your own mentoring skills
We ran our first workshop on the 20th April and we now have a variety of mentors ready and waiting to support mentees.
Feedback on our first workshops can be downloaded to the left hand side of this page - or click here.
We are delighted that we are developing a very powerful list of mentors and the profiles of some of our first mentors can also be download - please click here.
The next workshop is being run on the 24th May.
(Mentors will attend one morning session; Mentees will attend one afternoon session)
We are delighted that The SIA is hosting this event for us.
We are now registering more people who wish to volunteer as a London Excellence Mentor or who would like to find a mentor to support them - or both!

London Excellence Awards 2011: Winners Announced
We are delighted to announce the winners for the London Excellence Awards 2011.
For a full list of the winners and finalists please click here.
The winners were announced at our Summer Ball on the 18th July at Lord's Cricket Ground. For pictures of the Summer Ball, please click here.
Despite the inclement weather our community came together to celebrate the achievements of our winners and finalists - and they are significant achievements. These are not easy awards to enter – let alone win! The criteria and guidance upon which our rigorous assessment process is based are very challenging and only the best can be recognised as finalists.
But in many ways, winning is just a passing achievement. The lasting impact for many is achieved when the awards are used to drive learning and improvement. Mott MacDonald summed this up through the phrase
"London Excellence - Learning Experience"
Mott MacDonald have used the awards to encourage their young professionals to learn about their company and develop skills that will serve them well in the future. Skills that will help them to write bids for future contracts. Skills that were rewarded as Mott MacDonald were named as winners of the Succeeding through People award.
If you are interested in learning about how you could benefit from our awards in 2012, please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we will be glad to help.
